Then it was a gentle canter up the woodchip gallop and then something new - we (me and a couple of others) went on over the top and onto the grass. Now, that's the first time I've done this and we went to the bottom of the hill and then set sail up the grass gallops - wheeeeeeeeee - it was great. Wide open spaces and nothing but sky ahead of us. I must admit that this brought out my competitive streak and I made sure that I was in the lead as we went pass everyone. I loved it - I can't wait to do it all over again.
Then it was back to the yard for a wash down and a bit of team bonding. I got lots of pats and admiring glances and had my picture taken by absolutely everyone and then it was back in my box for a bit of a chow down. I think that I have really come on and I think I could be racing before too long - can't wait!
