Well we have been quite excellent this past couple of weeks - both The Gaffer and The Vickster have been away at various times, so at first it was The Mrs and The Mysterious Broom Man who were left in charge, with a bit of reluctant help from The Daughter who we think doesn't really like us - hard to imagine we know, as we really are two little sweeties (most of the time).
We really only had one anxious moment at the start of this week - we were on our way in from the fields and walking past the bottom barns heading towards 'goose corner' when we saw this rather large coil of something bright blue. Now, we were sure it hadn't been there the day before because it was soooo large we couldn't have failed to notice it - not even if we were being distracted by the goose. Anyway we put the brakes on a bit, but The Mrs and The Mysterious Broom man coaxed us past eventually and now its a breeze - but who makes plastic pipes in bright blue????
No sooner had The Gaffer come back then The Vickster went away. Now this is where we have been really very excellent, as The Gaffer and The Mrs have led us in and out all week - no third man needed and we have been good with a capital G! We've had to adapt and help with the opening and shutting of gates but its been no problem. We've had to walk right past the big horse who has been very close on our way out to the field - no problem - in fact we have been altogether no problem!!! Extra pats on the nose for us this week we feel. A bientot.

Hello girls, this is Tiah & Ferno - Non Racing. Perish the thought. We've been following your story , now that the Luddite idiot with the computer has worked out how to get in, with growing unease. We feel that a short sharp shot of equine common sense is in order. Matters seem to be getting a little out of hand for impressionable youg things.
ReplyDeleteWhat's all this nonsense about grooming and feet; not to mention pats on ther head for excellence. We ask you, it's enough to turn the head of any young thing. Much more of this and you will both turn in to NAGs - Neds Against Galloping. And that will never do. You just remember what you're there for. "In the bank large amounts". Lets have no more of this fannying about worrying whether blue plastic has the same bite as a goose
Concentrate on the job in hand, we say. You should try it up here. We have to put up with a terminally demented lump called Luke and something very small and loud called Archie Swap you them for a goose any day. Oh well, we suppose you're only young once. Enjoy it while it lasts. Talk to you again soon ladies xx
